01Overview

Erosia is built around the sounds of friction. Its source material includes recordings of bowed piano strings and the shimmering tones of a Cristal Baschet, processed into textures that drift and change over time. The instrument was created by Jeremiah Savage, who previously designed Kinetic Metal and Kinetic Toys. It ships with more than 200 presets, and a Transform control lets you shift a sound's character across its tension, release and decay stages.

How Erosia Builds Its Textures

Erosia uses a four-layer engine that combines Grain, Sampler and Wavetable sources. The Grain layer contributes granular motion, the Sampler layer brings recorded realism, and the Wavetable layer adds sustained, bloom-like tones. Blending these layers lets you move between recognizable acoustic character and more abstract, unpredictable sound.

The Transform control is the main way to shape a sound over time. Rather than setting a static timbre, it moves the sound across tension, release and decay, so a single patch can change as a phrase unfolds.

Controls, Modulation and Kontrol Support

The Play and FX pages give quick access to the core sound-shaping controls. For deeper movement, the Modulation page includes LFOs, envelopes and sequencers that animate the sound across a performance.

Erosia integrates with Kontrol keyboards, so the instrument's controls can be played and adjusted by hand during performance or sound design sessions.
