Gain, Boost and Edge Controls for High-Gain Guitar Tones

The preamp is built around three main controls: gain, boost and edge. Gain sets the core distortion, boost adds an extra layer of drive for lead passages or heavier moments, and edge shapes the character of the top end.

Kuassa positions the plugin for metal, rock and other genres that call for high-gain sounds. Because all of the controls sit on one screen, the signal path is easy to follow and adjust.

The resizable window and updated interface are new in this release, aligning Gainia XT with the rest of the Efektor series.

Pillar Power Amp and Cabinet Simulation

Pillar is a power amp simulator built on a vacuum tube emulation engine. Its job is to raise the level of the guitar sound and add saturation before the signal reaches the speaker cabinet stage.

The cabinet simulator can be switched off, so you can load your own impulse response files instead. Kuassa also describes Pillar as useful beyond guitar work, for general creative purposes and tube-stacking.

Pillar is included at no cost, and the developer states it is added automatically to licenses of Efektor Gainia series owners through the Kuassa Member Area.
