01Overview

Kuassa's EFEKTOR Gainia HB is a guitar effects plugin based on a preamp box, designed for rich, vintage overdrive tones with plenty of sustain. Its gain, tone and volume controls cover everything from a subtle boost to a full overdrive sound. The bundle also includes Pillar Power Amp, a power amp simulator built on a vacuum tube emulation engine. Pillar amplifies the guitar signal and adds saturation before it reaches the cabinet simulator, and you can switch the cabinet off and load your own impulse response.

Vintage Overdrive and Sustain from the Gainia HB Preamp

Gainia HB focuses on warm, dynamic overdrive. Rather than only boosting the signal, it adds depth and character to the sound. The plugin has a clean channel and a drive channel, so you can move between light breakup and heavier overdrive within one instance.

The interface is a single screen with gain, tone and volume controls. There is no hidden functionality, which keeps tone-shaping quick when you are tracking or editing guitar parts. The window is now resizable, and the interface has been updated to match the rest of the Efektor series.

Pillar Power Amp and Cabinet Simulation

Pillar Power Amp is designed to complement the Efektor Gainia series. It uses a vacuum tube emulation engine to add a controlled level of saturation and raise the volume before the signal hits the speaker cabinet simulator.

You can turn the cabinet simulator off and use any impulse response file you choose, which makes Pillar useful for loading your own cabinet captures. Pillar also works on its own for other creative purposes and for stacking tube-style stages. Owners of the Efektor Gainia series receive it for free, added automatically to their licenses through the Kuassa Member Area.
