EVE-AT1 and EVE-AT4: Two Neve-Inspired EQ Characters

EVE-AT1 is a 4-band parametric equalizer with an additional high-pass and low-pass filter. It is based on the EQ section of the Neve 1081. It offers expanded Q bandwidth selection in the low-mid and high-mid ranges compared to EVE-AT4, and its filters follow a more conventional frequency response.

EVE-AT4 is a 3-band equalizer with high-pass and low-pass filters, modeled on the EQ section of the Neve 1084. It has fewer bands and fewer frequency and Q choices, but its filter implementation gives it a distinct tonal character. Kuassa describes EVE-AT1 as a go-to EQ for a wide range of instruments and EVE-AT4 as the stronger character EQ.

Controls for Shaping Tone

Both plugins offer selectable broad or narrow Q bandwidth and a choice between shelf and peak filter modes. Gain reaches approximately plus or minus 18 dB with narrow Q and plus or minus 12 dB with broad Q. Each plugin includes HP and LP filters at -18 dB per octave.

For comparing settings, the A/B compare and A/B copy buttons are included, along with an output trim and a phase reverse button.
