Sound and Tube Overdrive Character

Kuassa says Gainia TD uses advanced algorithms to model the behavior of a vacuum tube, aiming to capture the subtleties of tube-driven overdrive. The Drive control sets the amount of gain and distortion, from light grit to heavier saturation.

The Bias control adjusts the bias voltage of the virtual tube. Because bias changes how the tube responds, it shapes the overall tonal character rather than only the level. Up to 8x oversampling is available to reduce aliasing in the distortion stage.

Controls and Workflow

The Low and High knobs adjust the overall EQ of the signal, giving direct tone shaping after the gain stage. The window is resizable, and the interface has been updated to match the rest of the EFEKTOR series.

Since the plugin is available as an Amplifikation 360 module, it can be used within that environment as well as in standard plugin hosts.
