COMP.TWO: Vari-Mu Tube Compressor Plugin by PROCESS.AUDIO Free Download

COMP.TWO is an all-tube vari-mu design, so the circuit has no transistor stages. The developer says the output stage uses the same type of output tubes found in the Altec and RS124 compressors, along with Sowter transformers.

The Amp Only feature bypasses the compression circuit so you hear only the tubes and transformers. A Clean Amp option bypasses the hardware transformers for a cleaner signal. This makes the plugin useful as a coloring tool even when you do not want any gain reduction.

The detection side is adjustable. You can choose single or dual mono detection depending on the mode, and the compressor can run in Mid/Side processing when you need to treat the center and sides separately.

Separate Dry/Wet knobs are provided for both channels, and an In/Out link is available to keep perceived volume constant while you adjust settings. Oversampling can be set from None up to x16.

A visualizer shows gain reduction and levels so you can judge the amount of compression and match gain precisely. Two VU meters from the hardware are also recreated in the plugin.

For sessions with several instances, the Remote console lets you see and control all COMP.TWO instances from one window. The plugin includes 80+ factory presets for drums, guitar, synth, bass and full mixes.
