01Overview

Bloom Palette Object Lite is a lite version of the Bloom Palette Object instrument, built to add real-world textures to digital productions. It draws on 56 foley samples recorded by professional foley artists and sound designers, along with instrument one-shots and loops. Samples sync to your host tempo, and the included 75 presets are designed to act as song starters and ear candy. Sound Sources and Sound Character

The library mixes musical instruments such as Taishogoto, vibraphone and upright bass with everyday items including Velcro, glass bottles and mechanical ratchets. Sound categories include household foley, mechanical and electrical items, tuned foley, textures and noises, acoustic drums and percussion, rhythmic loops and melodic loops.

The developer's aim is to counter the lifeless, cold feel that digital tracks can have. Layering these recorded sources with synthetic material can add unexpected detail and depth to a mix.

Playing and Shaping Sounds

You choose a preset, start at your desired tempo and play one of 14 samples spread across two octaves. White keys trigger samples and loops. Black keys change properties such as playback speed and pitch, and trigger sequences and effect modulation.

Four macros, Smooth, Echo, Tape and Width, control the effect chain. The Main FX section offers Noise, Reverb and Speaker processing, plus Lo-Cut and Hi-Cut filters, and a global bypass lets you compare the processed and dry sound quickly.
