The instrument is built from a collection of double basses, cellos, violas and violins. Its 75 presets are organized into seven categories. Drones hold long, sustained string notes. Full Ensembles combine double bass, cello, viola and violin. Solo presets use a single voice. Melodic presets are built from a sample pitched across two octaves in a scale. Rhythmic presets use staccato, spiccato and pizzicato articulations. Textures are designed to sit in the background of a track, and Experimental presets focus on abstract sound design.

The developer says the library is aimed at electronic, indie, pop, ambient and cinematic work, where string layers add tension and depth.

Triggering uses the keyboard: white notes play individual sounds and launch phrases, while black notes adjust properties. Five factory modifiers include Half-time, Double-Time, Reverse, Octave Down and Octave Up, and five custom modifiers can be used to trigger sequences.

Four macros labeled Drive, Stereo, Chamber and Vinyl shape the sound. The main page adds high-pass and low-pass filtering, a Modulation effect with Chorus, Flanger and Vibrato, Reverb with Plate, Hall or Spring types, and a Delay for rhythmic echoes and stereo width.
