Active EQ Bands and Dynamic Control
Each of the four bands can be shaped with a Q control that sets how selective or broad its active response is. A key filter on every band determines this selectivity, so a band can act as a narrow correction or a wide tonal shift.
Active EQ response depends on each band's threshold, attack and release settings. A ratio control sets how sensitive the response is to input level, which Mcdsp describes as the way the active EQ reaches its maximum effect. Peak readouts for each band's key signal help set thresholds quickly, and band dynamics plots show how each band is responding.
