Ten EQ modules with different characters
Each module in the 6020 Ultimate EQ has its own tonal character. The E670 is built around gentle low and high shelves with a mid parametric band, and McDSP describes it as suitable for subtle adjustments in most mixing situations. The Moo Q is a three-band module with a warm, tube-style voicing. The iQ is the only two-band module in the set and is aimed at adding low-end warmth or high-end sheen.
The British-E module uses the FilterBank technology from McDSP's earlier FilterBank plugin, which is based on Neve-style equalizers, and offers a high pass filter, low shelf, parametric and high shelf. The EZ Q combines a high pass filter with low and high shelves and a flexible parametric band. The EQ'76 is a four-band parametric module with a slight Q-gain dependency.
The E357 has steeper slopes than most of the other modules and a noticeable character. McDSP advises using it with caution.
