Shaping the Attack and Sustain of 808 Bass
The transient shaper works inside a frequency band you choose, so you can add click above the fundamental without smearing the sub underneath. The developer says the band split is done by subtraction, which keeps the two halves recombining cleanly.
A cut on sustain turns a long 808 into a tighter, kick-like hit in one move. The Monitor button solos the band being shaped, which makes it quick to set by ear.
The bell filter is locked to 30-150Hz, the range where sub fundamentals sit, with variable Q from narrow to broad and up to +18dB of lift.
