01Overview

This upgrade is for existing owners of McDSP's 6034 Ultimate Multi-band v6. It is a four-band crossover dynamics processor that uses the compression, expansion and gating modules from the 6050 Ultimate Channel Strip. Each module can be swapped on the fly to audition different processing while relative settings are kept. The v7 version adds Apple Silicon optimization, updated interfaces and new presets.

Dynamics Modules and Crossover Control

The plugin splits the signal into four bands, and each band can be processed with its own compression, expansion or gating module. The crossover filter slopes can be set to 6, 12 or 24 dB per octave, which lets you shape how sharply the bands separate.

Metering shows gain reduction and output level on every crossover band, along with main input and output levels. Input and output control is included, and analog saturation modeling adds further character to the processing.

Presets, Formats and Licensing

Artist presets come from Mike Dean, ROCAsound, David Bottrill, Richard Chycki, Lovy Longomba, Eric Racy, Brujo Caipo and Zakk Cervini. The plugin is available in mono and stereo versions with zero latency algorithms and double precision processing.

McDSP plugins run on Windows and macOS in 64-bit form. Authorization uses an iLok2 or iLok3 USB Smart Key or an iLok License Manager account. Each v7 plugin includes two activations per license.
