Sound Character and Sampling Approach
Robot Koch builds the sounds in this pack from field recordings processed through custom-built tape machines. The tape stage adds warmth, warble and movement to the material.
According to the developer, Koch often layers 10 or more sounds into a single final texture, so the origin of each element is hard to identify. The result is organic, textural and deliberately imperfect, with recognizable qualities of water, wind, rain and tape noise blended together.
The pack focuses on cinematic rhythmic textures and tape-infused beats rather than conventional drum kits.
