XO Expansion: Afro House is a preset expansion pack by XLN Audio for XO, containing 75 editable presets and 200+ samples for Afro House beats.
XO Expansion: Afro House brings the sound of Afro House into XLN Audio's XO beat-making environment. The pack combines house-music pulse with African percussion, including congas, djembes, and shakers. Its 75 presets and more than 200 samples are built around percussion-driven grooves and syncopated rhythms. Because each preset is fully editable, you can start from a finished groove and reshape it in XO's sequencer.
The pack centers on rolling hand percussion, earthy kicks, and crisp shakers. XLN Audio describes the patterns as designed to keep tracks moving forward, with polyrhythmic grooves that give the rhythm its forward lean.
The samples are presented as hand-picked one-shots suited to the genre, so the percussion elements can be layered or swapped to suit your own arrangement.
Each XO Expansion is delivered as fully editable sequences rather than fixed loops. The developer says this exposes the structure of each beat, so you can see how the groove is built.
The presets are mix-ready and can be used as they are. You can also adjust individual elements in XO's sequencer, which makes the pack useful both as a starting point and as a learning reference for Afro House rhythm construction.
