01Overview

This is the fourth and final volume in Resonance Sound's Future Bass series for Serum. The developer says it studied tracks by producers such as Illenium, Seven Lions, Odesza and San Holo while designing the patches. The pack focuses on gritty, textured sounds intended for future bass and wider EDM production. Each preset has its macros modulated so the sound can be adjusted quickly or used as a starting point for a new patch.

Preset Contents and Sound Categories

The pack includes 64 Serum presets split across several categories: 15 leads, 15 plucks, 10 basses, 11 synth sounds, 6 keys, 4 pads, 2 arps and 1 FX patch.

The leads and plucks make up nearly half the collection, which suits producers building melodic drops and chord-driven hooks. The bass and synth sections give you the sub and mid-range material needed to fill out the rest of a track.

Macros and MIDI Files for Faster Writing

Resonance Sound says it modulated all available macros on each preset, so you can shape the sound without digging deep into the oscillator and filter settings.

The 30 included MIDI files are meant to be dragged onto the presets to hear how each patch works with a musical sequence. They give you a starting point for arps and melodies that you can then edit to fit your own arrangement.
