03In depth

Tropical House Sounds Made in Serum

The presets focus on the bright, airy textures of tropical house. Resonance Sound says the sampled instruments are built with Serum's Noise Oscillator, so you can layer marimba, vibraphone and guitar-style tones into your own arrangements.

The category split is broad. Plucks are the largest group with 24 presets, followed by 8 synth presets, 7 leads and 6 pads, along with 6 basses, 4 pianos, 3 FX, 2 arps, 2 guitars and 2 sequences. That makes the pack useful for building a full track from one source, not just a single lead or pad.

Workflow With MIDI and Macro Controls

The 22 MIDI files can be dragged straight into your DAW. Pair them with a matching preset to test a progression quickly, then rework the patch to fit your own melody.

Every preset has Modwheel and Macro assignments, so you can shape brightness, movement or effect amount in performance without digging through the full Serum interface. This suits producers who want fast sketching and live tweaking.
