Tech X Bass House Mayhem Vol. 1 for Serum is a preset pack from Resonance Sound containing 64 presets for Xfer Serum, plus 25 MIDI files, aimed at Tech House and Bass House production.
Tech X Bass House Mayhem Vol. 1 for Serum is built around the sounds of current Tech House and Bass House. The pack covers basses, leads, plucks, pads, chords, sequences and effects, all designed to run inside Xfer Serum. Every preset includes macro assignments, so you can reshape a patch quickly and fit it to your mix. The 25 included MIDI files give you melodic starting points, which makes the pack useful for building a new track from an idea.
The pack includes 64 Serum presets spread across eight categories: 29 basses, 5 chords, 8 FX, 10 leads, 5 plucks, 2 pads, 1 piano, 2 sequences and 2 synths.
Basses make up the largest part of the set, which fits the Bass House focus of the pack. Resonance Sound says the library combines Tech House basslines with harder Bass House elements, including gritty whomp and harmony basses.
Macro assignment is applied to all presets. Turning a few controls can change a patch into a noticeably different sound, which helps when you need to adapt a preset to a specific track or mix.
The 25 MIDI files are meant to be paired with the presets. Trying different MIDI melodies with the presets is a quick way to test ideas and start a new project. The drums heard in the demonstration audio are for demonstration only and are not part of the preset content.
