01Overview

Selected Deep House Vol.1 is the first volume in Resonance Sound's Selected Deep House series for Xfer Serum. The developer says the pack was built after studying current deep house tracks, artists and labels, and it aims to cover the sounds heard in today's deep house productions. The 64 presets span pop-style bass shots, slow Reese-style basses, organic plucks, atmospheric pads and warm leads. Each patch is fully macro-assigned, so you can adjust it to fit your mix with a few changes. Serum v1.344 or later is required.

03In depth

Sound Palette and Deep House Character

The pack's 64 presets are divided into 21 basses, 1 FX, 10 leads, 12 pads, 17 plucks and 3 synth sounds. The bass section is the largest, with pop-leaning bass shots alongside slow Reese-style basses. The plucks and pads cover the organic and atmospheric textures common in deep house, and the leads are meant to sit warm in the mix.

Because the presets are built as Serum patches, you can open any of them and edit the oscillators, filters and effects directly.

Workflow with MIDI Files and Macros

The pack includes 25 MIDI files with melodies and chord progressions. According to Resonance Sound, you can drag the MIDI files into your DAW, choose a preset from the pack and start working from there.

All patches are macro-assigned. The developer notes this gives you a fast way to adapt each sound to your track without digging deep into the synth's parameters.

The drums and samples heard in the demonstrations are for demonstration purposes only and are not part of the pack's sounds.
