01Overview

Retro Legends Expansion Pack is a set of presets for Horizen, developed by Tracktion. The developer describes the presets as recreations of analog-era synth sounds, reworked for current production. The pack spans a range of sound types, from lush pads to bright, expressive leads. Because it is an expansion for Horizen, it does not work on its own and needs an existing copy of the instrument to load and play.

Vintage Sound Character in Horizen

Tracktion says the presets are built around the sounds of classic synthesizers, with the goal of keeping their character while adding fresh, modern twists. Pads and leads are the main focus, so the pack suits producers who want retro textures without building patches from scratch.

The developer also describes the presets as making use of Horizen's engine for depth and character. Because the pack is designed for that engine, it fits into an existing Horizen workflow rather than adding a separate instrument to your setup.

Who the Expansion Pack Is For

Retro Legends is most useful for producers who already own Horizen and want a themed set of vintage-style sounds. It is a practical starting point for pads and lead lines in genres that draw on classic analog tones.

If you do not have Horizen, this pack is not usable on its own, so confirm that you have a copy of the synthesizer before buying.
