01Overview

84 All Year Expansion for Horizen is an instrument expansion pack from developer Tracktion, sold as a preset collection for Horizen. Tracktion describes the pack as a nostalgic trip through early synthesizer history, with sounds reimagined from that era. It is built around analog-style character, and the developer says it works for both retro-leaning projects and current modern production. 03In depth

Analog Sound Character and Early Synth Inspiration

Resonance Sound says this expansion is aimed at producers who want a pure analog sound. The presets draw on the early days of synthesis, so the focus is on the timbres and textures that defined that period rather than on modern digital polish.

The developer also states that the sounds translate to contemporary music production. That makes the pack a fit for producers who want vintage flavor in current tracks, not only for period-accurate recreations.

Using the Presets With Horizen

The pack is an expansion for Horizen and cannot be used without an existing copy of that synth. Load the presets into Horizen as you would any other preset bank, then adjust the sounds to fit your arrangement.

Because the collection is organized as presets, it suits producers who prefer starting from finished patches and shaping them, rather than building sounds from scratch.
