Sound and Character of the Strings
The library was recorded to capture the imperfections that gave vintage string sections their warmth, rather than a polished, perfect sound. Big Fish Audio used Neumann U-87 and Royer ribbon microphones and recorded in an older studio with a smaller, less reverberant room instead of a concert hall.
The developer describes the result as rich but not overly sweet or glossy, with a more intimate and human tone than sampled orchestral strings.
