Violin Articulations and Sound Sources
The instrument contains 14 sound sources. Fragile articulations are played softly and close to the fingerboard, with 1, 3 and 4 players. Sul pont articulations are harsher, played close to the bridge with bowing noises, in 1 and 4 player versions. Harmonics provide soft flageolet notes, and Motion moves between articulations such as long notes and tremolo.
Random Bounce offers bow bounces that are either random or synced to half, quarter and sixteenth note values. Three resynthesized violin sounds send fragile and sul pont material through modular effects and guitar pedals. Each sound can be mixed, tuned and panned individually, and several articulations can be varied in player count.
