Sound and Character of the Vertigo Flute Ensembles
The Vertigo Flute is built from a blend of 16 flute sound sources. Regular articulations provide a usual flute tone, while Fragile articulations are played very softly. Taped sources are sent through tape devices, and Resampled sources are manipulated by hardware gear. The Avant-Garde set adds articulations with motion inside them.
The Blow articulations contain only the airflow without a pitched tone, which makes them useful for breathy texture layers. Several articulations can be varied in the number of players, so you can shift between a single flute and a larger ensemble within the same sound source.
Because each sound can be mixed, tuned and panned individually, you can build textures that range from subtle tones to more experimental soundscapes.
