Sound, Amps and Spring Reverb
The instrument draws on five guitars, including a semi-hollow icon, a baritone, a ’60s-style offset with a floating tremolo, a semi-hollow jazz-style guitar and a magnetically picked-up acoustic. Two vintage amps, often described as the American clean and the British chime, shape the tone, and both can be chosen or blended.
The spring reverb is recorded rather than modeled. Each sample was captured four times through two amps with dry and wet options, which the developer says gives the reverb a lively, evolving character.
