The instrument is built around a 1974 Wurli 200A electric piano. The developer describes the sound as the source of many well-known recordings in fusion, disco, funk and pop.

The Studio bank delivers the unaltered line-out sound of the instrument. The Live bank captures the output of the original speakers, including cone cry and break-up, for a more realistic response. Both sample sets include additional acoustic noise and resonance recordings.

The Pentamorph is a single pentagonal controller that morphs the sound from the original Wurli tone toward more complex textures, including atmospheric and percussive results. Individual controls cover sustain resonance, reeds volume, pedal noise, key noises, release and reverse samples volume.

The effects chain includes tremolo and AutoPan, chorus, phaser, amp simulator, compressor, and convolution reverb.

Smart Chord creates full chords from single keys or a pad controller once you set the song key. The Animator provides more than 440 ready-to-play piano phrases in different genres and styles, with control over dynamics and complexity. The two functions can be used together.
