Sound Character and Tube Oscillators
Vacuum Vintage has two vacuum tube oscillators with four wave shapes. Instead of picking a single waveform, you can morph between them, which gives patches a moving timbre.
The oscillator output runs through a mixer with drive, distortion and ring modulation before reaching the filters. Each filter offers a saturation control for a more aggressive tone. The Age section adds oscillator pitch drift, dust crackle and slightly inaccurate keyboard triggering for an aged, hardware-like character.
Richard Devine and Mark Ovenden designed the included presets, which cover leads, pads, basses, arpeggios, percussive sounds and effects.
