01Overview

TRINITY brings the sound engine of KORG's 1995 TRINITY workstation into a plugin. The developer says the original TRINITY developers supervised the recreation, which covers the PCM samples and effects circuits. The plugin includes the full original sample library with all four expansions, plus the additional samples from the 1998 TR-Rack sound module. A Program Browser with tags, search and sound preview helps you find patches quickly, and an EASY mode gives direct access to core parameters.

ACCESS sound engine and original sample library

The plugin reproduces the ACCESS (Advanced Combined Control Synthesis System) engine used in the original TRINITY. KORG says the software recreates the original D/A converters and the sonic character of the hardware, while adding software-only enhancements such as expanded polyphony and eight insert effects slots.

The included library covers the TFD-1S MEGA PIANOS, TFD-2S ORCHESTRAL ELEMENTS, TFD-3S DANCE WAVES & DRUMS and TFD-4S M1 FACTORY expansions. Together with the TR-Rack samples, these give more than 2,000 ready-to-use Programs and Combinations.

Workflow: EASY mode, Full Edit and browsing

EASY mode exposes core parameters such as oscillator waveforms, filters, envelopes, pitch and effects in a streamlined layout. For deeper editing, Full Edit Mode shows every parameter in a graphics-rich layout inspired by the original TouchView GUI.

The Program Browser lets you filter by tags, bank or category, or search by name. Its preview function plays a patch without using the keyboard, which speeds up sound selection in a session.
