How Tomofon's Audio Models Create Its Sound
Each Audio Model is a structure of organized wavetables. Tomofon maps these waves into pitch zones over the keyboard, with each wave representing one layer. This works in a similar way to how a sampler arranges velocity zones, but the zones hold waves instead of ordinary samples.
Because the engine can morph between both layers and zones, the developer describes the result as an instantly playable synth that can sound organic or quite unusual. The pitch and layer depth envelopes can be edited, and envelope times can be controlled separately by MIDI velocity.
