Each SynthMaster 3 instance can hold up to 16 layers, and each layer supports up to 16 modules. Generator modules include Basic, Additive, Vector, Wavetable, VAnalog and Granular oscillators, plus a Modulator. Effect modules include several digital and analog-style filters, a Phaser, a Comb filter, a Formant filter and a Waveshaper.

Modulation sources include ADSR and multistage envelopes, LFOs, a Step LFO, a Noise LFO and a Scaler. The Routing view lets you add, remove, bypass or replace modules and create connections between them.

SynthMaster 3 provides a Layer View for single-layer parameters, a Track View for keyboard zones, velocity zones, voicing, unison, arpeggiator and sequencer settings across layers, and a Mix View for insert and send effects.

Each layer has its own arpeggiator and sequencer, with random values for trigger, hold and slide on each step. Each layer also has its own MIDI output channel, so the generated MIDI can be routed to different DAW tracks.
