Natural wetland recordings for sound design
The recordings capture wildlife behaving naturally rather than staged activity. Frogs appear at several distances, wading birds are captured feeding, and alligator calls include both close and distant bellows. Matt Mikkelsen, the field recordist, says many alligator recordings used in media come from controlled environments, while these reflect behavior in the field.
The material is delivered without heavy processing or noise reduction. Its natural tonal character is preserved, which gives you a clean starting point for EQ, dynamics and spatial work.
