01Overview

Spatial D320 is built on the chorus and spatial enhancement approach of the Roland SDD-320 Dimension D, which the developer names as its inspiration. Where the original offered four fixed buttons, this plugin provides continuous control over each dimension of the effect. Additional processing covers tone, warmth and space, including a 12AU7 valve stage, an ambience generator and a focus highpass filter. It runs as a 64-bit effect across VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP formats.

Chorus Character and Spatial Controls

The core of Spatial D320 is a BBD-based chorus and spatial enhancer. Audiority says the continuous Dimension control replaces the four fixed buttons of the hardware original, so you can move between modes in smaller steps.

The Drift control sets the rate of the LFO, and X-Depth extends the range of spatial textures. Together they let you shape movement from subtle widening to more pronounced modulation.

A 12AU7 valve stage adds coloration to the signal, and an ambience generator adds a sense of space around the sound.

Stereo Width, Filtering and Metering

The Focus highpass filter works with intelligent mid/side routing, so low frequencies can be kept centered while the upper range is widened. A dedicated Mid/Side width processor gives direct control over stereo image.

An integrated goniometer shows the stereo field while you adjust these settings. The interface is resizable, and MIDI mapping is included for hardware control.
