Sound Design and the XY Morphing Engine
The instrument is built around four separate layers and an assignable XY pad. Each layer has its own sound-shaping options, including attack, release, offset, pitch and pan. Every layer also has its own arpeggiator and filter, with 39 built-in filter types to choose from.
The XY pad defaults to volume control between the four layers, but each axis can be reassigned to filters or a selection of FX. Tempo-syncable rhythmic motion can be added to the pad, and you can limit the X and Y range to create new patterns and tonal shifts.
The Random button generates new combinations of sound, parameter and modulation settings, and the macro knobs on either side of the pad can be assigned to layer controls or FX rack plugins.
