Sound and Playing Modes in ROYAL 2 Upgrade

UJAM says ROYAL is suited to pop, rock, indie and singer-songwriter material. The developer describes its tone as ranging from a smooth, round sound for ballads to enough drive to support a rock song.

The plugin has two modes. Player Mode gives instant access to 60 styles and 1380 phrases through MIDI key commands, and it follows the key and chord you play. Instrument Mode exposes the sampled bass for performed techniques such as dead notes, full stops and slides, using a MIDI controller.

The upgrade adds MIDI drag and drop, so you can move generated MIDI parts directly into your DAW.

Sound Shaping and Finisher Effects

Sound shaping uses a selection of amps and effects, followed by EQ and dynamics controls to set the tone for a track. UJAM's proprietary Finisher provides 15 multi-effect modes that change the sound with a single knob.
