Player Mode and Instrument Mode

ROYAL 2 has two modes. Player Mode gives instant access to 60 styles and 1380 phrases through simple MIDI key commands. The plugin follows the key and chord you play and selects bass articulations it considers musical for the part.

Instrument Mode is aimed at players with keyboard skills. It lets you play the sampled bass directly from a MIDI controller, with support for dead notes, full stops and slides.

Sound Shaping and Finisher Effects

The sound shaping section lets you choose from a set of amps and effects, then adjust the tone, EQ and dynamics. The developer also includes a Finisher with 15 multi-effect modes, controlled with a single knob, for a more radical change of character.

The interface is designed around a small number of controls, so you can reach a usable bass sound without much tweaking.
