VOODOO is aimed at organic, distorted and textured sounds. The developer describes the modes as ranging from high-gain leads to strummed acoustic and bluesy crunch tones.
Each mode combines several effect types into one configuration, so a single mode can move from warm and dark to colored or granular. UJAM also presents the plugin as a companion for its Virtual Guitarist series, including AMBER, IRON, SILK, SPARKLE and CARBON.
The Finisher knob and four Variation knobs are macro controls programmed into each mode. The Variation controls adjust musical changes to the current mode, such as delay times, EQ characteristics and distortion curves, often in combination.
MIDI Learn and automation let you connect pedals and add articulation during a performance. UJAM's Highlighter, a combination of low and high pass filters, is included on all modes to help place a track in the mix.
