RIOT Drums: Punk and Hardcore Drum Sampler by Ugritone

The kit is built from named instruments. The kicks are Kumu Custom 22x18 and Premier 22x16. The snares are a Pearl Masters 14x5.5 and a Premier 14x5. Two sets of toms are included, covering sizes from 10 to 16 inches across the Kumu Custom and Premier lines.

The cymbal set includes Zildjian A Custom pieces: hi-hats at 14 inches, a 20-inch ride, 16- and 18-inch crashes, an 18-inch china, and 8- and 10-inch splashes. Ugritone frames the overall character as fast, tight and loud, suited to high-speed riffs.

RIOT Drums ships with five presets: New Anarchy, Punk Practice, Reverb Punk, Riot 2.0 and Start A New Riot. Ugritone says the presets are meant as starting points for different genres and styles, so you can audition them against your song before shaping your own sound.

If you prefer your own material, the instrument accepts WAV, AIFF and FLAC files, so you can layer or replace the included one-shots with your own samples.
