Riffer 4 includes five generation engines, each with its own musical character. According to Audiomodern, the engines can produce hypnotic sequences, memorable hooks, guitar-inspired patterns, animated arpeggios and basslines with weight.
Generated riffs can be reshaped, combined and transformed into new ideas, so the engines work as starting points rather than fixed outputs.
You choose a key and scale, generate a riff, then adjust its range, density, timing and feel. Individual notes can be edited directly, and variations can be created and developed from the same idea.
Riffer 4 exports MIDI, so generated material can be moved into your own music-making environment for further work.
