Sound, Styles and Kits

The plugin offers 20 styles and 50 presets, along with 10 drum kits of 16 drum instruments each. Styles range from classic Latin rhythms such as Paso A Paso to offbeat patterns that move away from four-on-the-floor, such as Perreo, and harder-hitting beats in styles like Pichudo. Combining a kit with a style gives access to 460 patterns in total.

The Mix settings switch between multi-effect profiles. The Grinder adds delay and garble, Wrecking Ball adds heavy distortion, and Good 2 Go adds a liquified character. The developer describes these as ways to reshape the groove quickly.

Controls and Workflow

Three main controls, Kit, Style and Mix, let you move from a blank session to a usable beat quickly. The interface can be resized, and patterns can be dragged into your host as MIDI.

The Me Gusta control adds stereo width and instrument isolation, or pushes the sound toward a mono, crunchy distortion. The Beat Intensity control changes brightness and EQ, which helps separate verse and chorus sections.
