Browsing and Mixing Beatmaker Drum Kits

The built-in browser lets you filter by tags such as mood, genre and BPM, and you can preview kits and loops before you commit to a sound. UJAM notes that previews work even for titles you do not own yet.

The Mixing page gives each track control over volume, pan, filter, ambience and saturation. You can also route outputs individually inside the plug-in, so a kit can be processed in your DAW as separate parts.

A custom keyboard layout lets you assign loops and phrases to your keyboard and trigger full grooves in real time while you arrange.

Genres and Sound Range

UJAM positions Beatmaker as a collection of 16 genre-focused drum instruments covering trap, lofi, EDM, pop, dubstep and reggaetón, among others. The developer describes the sound as ranging from laid-back grooves to more aggressive beats, with kits, loops and styles switchable across genres.

If you work across several genres, having them in one plug-in keeps your drum sounds consistent and your workflow in one window.
