01Overview

QuickBass is designed to polish and finish bass tracks without chaining several separate plugins. Compression, Saturation and Sub-Bass in One Plugin

QuickBass lets you blend between Vari-mu, Opto and FET compressor types to set the character of the bass, and you decide how hard the signal is squeezed. A parallel saturator adds anything from a light analogue feel to heavy distortion. A one-knob doubler thickens thin parts, and the plugin can generate sub-bass for extra low-end weight.

The EQ is preset for finger, pick and slap playing styles, and a Millerize button sets up a slap-solo sound by treating the mids in a specific way. Most of the EQ curve is preset, with a few knobs left for fine-tuning. United Plugins recommends starting with the knobs at zero.

Compatibility and Licensing Details

QuickBass runs as a 64-bit plugin on Windows 8 to 10 and on macOS 10.10 and later, including M1 Silicon Macs and macOS 11 Big Sur. It works in VST2, VST3, AAX and AU compatible hosts, depending on the platform. Activation uses license files rather than an iLok or a dongle, and the developer states the purchased software can be used on all of your computers as long as you are the user.

The trial lasts 15 days with full functionality. After it expires, the plugin stays usable in a free version with some parameters locked, and presets made with the full version continue to work in that free version.
