Sound Design Engine and Processing
Karanyi Sounds recorded bowed acoustic strings and processed them with analogue modular effects. The developer says this approach keeps the sounds massive while retaining an organic character.
The instrument runs on Karanyi's Kontakt engine and combines four sound modules with a sub synth layer. The modules can be blended together, giving a wide range of textures from pads to plucked and sustained tones.
On-board effects include Prophet-type low-pass filters, analogue and tape-style delays, and algorithmic room and hall reverbs. Chorus, EQ, limiting and compression are also included, along with tape-style pitch modulation.
