Sound Design With Resonators and Noise

Noisy 2 uses a noise source to excite three resonators, which can be layered to shape each sound. Each preset is built from two independent layers, so you can recombine layer presets to change a sound without deep sound design knowledge.

The Noise block offers new noise types, and the modal synthesis engine adds four acoustic resonators. On the analog side, the new PWM resonator and enhanced soft clipper, which includes feedback control, add more character to the timbre.

Expressive Playing and MPE Workflow

The MPE mode is built for expressive controllers such as Osmose, Touché, Push 3 and Seaboard. Trig Modes let you add sound impulses by moving your gesture down (push), up (lift) or up and down (shake). A visualizer shows in real time how envelopes and continuous control affect the sound.

For players without an MPE controller, the classic mode uses a mod wheel or generic knob, and includes 700 non-MPE presets alongside 500 MPE presets.
