Drone, Strumming and Articulations

The instrument is built around its drone. Cinematique Instruments recorded the main articulations in a realistic, organic way, using four round robins and two to three velocity layers for each note.

The articulation set includes finger, hammer, plec, mallet and unison playing. Finger and mallet sounds suit softer, melodic parts, while the plec articulation has a harder attack. Unison plays strings tuned to the same tone at once. The library also includes muted, bowed and thumb articulations.

A strumming engine includes a Strumming Speed Slider that controls the speed of the hand, along with a drone option.

Glissando, Tremolo and Reverb Options

The glissando mode is designed for the dulcimer's sound. Once tremolo is activated, you can play true tremolo with the mod wheel.

The instrument also offers eight reverb types, including several room sizes and two special types called Infinite and Ghost.
