01Overview

Mosaic Neon is built around classic synthesis techniques, reimagined for modern composers. The developer describes it as a scoring tool that blends nostalgia with new sound design. Its library covers pads, keys and mallets, chiptunes, noise layers and attack layers, giving you a broad set of raw material. The included presets are snapshots meant to serve as starting points for cues. Mosaic Neon is also part of the wider Mosaic Series, where each instrument has its own foundational elements for layering and combining.

Sound Character and Sources

Mosaic Neon draws on 84 unique sources, including 28 pads, 25 keys and mallets, 11 chiptunes, 10 noise layers and 10 attack layers. Together these cover a wide range of tonal colors, from warm textures to brighter, more synthetic tones.

The developer says the instrument's strength lies in how these sources combine. Layering them across the Mosaic Engine's three channels produces textures and rhythmic movement that go beyond the individual sounds.

Workflow, Controls and Browsing

The included sample browser is designed to make it easy to audition the library of 1,406 samples. The ARP feature lets you build complex, rhythmic arpeggios, and the MACRO knob controls multiple parameters at once for dynamic changes during a performance or arrangement.

With 114 custom presets, you can start from a finished sound and adjust it, or build your own patches from the source material.
