Sound and Character of the Vocal Layers
Each of the four voices can be shaped separately, from intimate and minimal to wide and cinematic within a single patch. Native Instruments says the voices can be used for sustains, swells, pulses and whispers, which makes the instrument suited to beds and textures as well as rhythmic hooks.
The lyric-free approach relies on vowels, hums, whispers, growls, whistles and extended vocal techniques. Because there are no words, the sound tends to sit behind a main vocal rather than in front of it.
