Mociula Lab: Modular-Style Synth Bundle for Kontakt

Frame is the foundation of the bundle. It combines a sine or square oscillator with step-less tuning, a rhythm gate, distortion and a layer mode. An effect rack follows, with a 4-pole filter and resonance, delay, reverb, a compressor and a bit-crusher. An oscilloscope is included for monitoring.

Row is built around a 16-step sequencer with a range of four octaves, three accent levels and a drone note option. It pairs with a sound generator that offers sine or square waveforms, adjustable glide, length and distortion, plus an effect section with reverb, delay, two filter types and a compressor.

Scaler layers four separately controllable sounds and ambiences, shaped by a three-band spectral filter and followed by a reverb and delay section. It is aimed at subtle background textures rather than lead sounds.

Rise is based on the Shepard tone, an auditory illusion of a pitch that seems to ascend or descend endlessly. You can choose between two sound sources, set the tempo and add reverb, delay or filter. It suits risers, tension builds and experimental transitions.

Tape is a tape machine simulator with eight loops, including lama chanting, bicycle chain noises and water drops. The gate sets the loops rhythmically, and the length control and additional patched tapes shape the result. The module draws on musique concrète, turning everyday sounds into material for music.

Mociula Lab fits producers who want modular-style sound design inside Kontakt without building a patch from scratch. Because the instrument is fixed in structure, it works best as a source of ready-made combinations rather than a flexible patching environment.
