Sound and playing styles in MELLOW 2

MELLOW is built around a meticulously sampled acoustic double bass. UJAM says it offers body, texture and a big bottom end, moving from smooth to powerful. The library includes 60 styles and 1380 phrases, with 20 styles and 30 presets added in this version.

The bass is intended for more than jazz. UJAM positions it for soft, soulful acoustic realism in singer-songwriter, R&B and hip hop tracks, where it can act as a subtle foundation or a more forward second voice.

Player Mode, Instrument Mode and sound controls

Player Mode gives access to UJAM's simplified interface. You set the key and chords, and the plugin chooses articulations to build basslines.

Instrument Mode lets you play the sampled fretboard from a MIDI controller, including dead notes, full stops and slides. A tone section offers amp selection, note vibrato, room reverb, octave effects, dynamics and EQ controls.
