01Overview

Mastering Console V2 puts a complete mastering chain into a single interface. Low and High cut filters with selectable slopes clean up the frequency extremes before a Tube Sat stage adds weight, with its own Clean to Hot range and saturation filter. A Bax EQ provides broad 40 Hz and 12 kHz shelves, an M-S Matrix balances Mid against Side, and a built-in De-Esser handles harshness before the output stage. Safari Audio positions it for master buses and sub-mixes.

Sound Shaping and Saturation Controls

The signal path starts with improved Low and High cut input filters, each with selectable slopes, to remove unwanted extremes before processing.

The Tube Sat stage adds weight through a Clean to Hot range and a dedicated saturation filter, so the saturation can be limited to the part of the spectrum you choose.

The Bax EQ covers broad 40 Hz and 12 kHz shelves for gentle tonal tilts, while the M-S Matrix lets you balance Mid and Side content. A De-Esser with Amount and Frequency controls and its own gain-reduction meter helps tame harshness before the limiter.

Limiting, Level Matching and Metering

The output stage includes a true-peak limiter with its own input drive and metering. Safari Audio describes the limiter as clean and distinctive.

Smart Gain and Link Gain are included for level matching when comparing or adjusting the chain.

A large VU pair with IN, GR and OUT switching shows what each stage is doing, and the plugin adds A/B compare, a short-term LUFS readout and a new oversampling algorithm in this version.
