Sound and String Behavior
The lute is sampled across its 13 strings in three dynamic layers with four round robin variations. Cinematique Instruments says it spent considerable effort on the transitions between layers so the instrument sounds smooth.
The library also models course-string behavior. Separate controls set the flam and detune of each string relative to the original, and both can be varied randomly or by velocity. Finger-scratch noises are added through a noise trigger script, with its own volume control.
