Loop2Kit: Loop-Based Sampler Plugin by Pitch Innovations

Instead of slicing and mapping a loop by hand, Loop2Kit runs analysis algorithms tuned for drums, melodic material and percussion. Pitch Innovations says these algorithms identify and group related sounds, so the plugin can build a playable kit from the source audio.

Auto round robin generation adds variation to repeated hits, which helps a kit sound less mechanical when played in a pattern. The plugin also supports manual group editing and custom variations, so you can adjust the automatic results rather than accept them as they come.

The 16-pad performance workflow lets you trigger the kit live or from a sequence, with velocity-sensitive response.

Loop2Kit includes a radial sequencer that the developer describes as a way to create grooves and evolving patterns. It is designed to produce rhythms you might not arrive at with a standard step grid.

An integrated effects suite lets you shape the sound of the kit inside the plugin. Deep sample editing gives you control over the material after analysis, so you can refine slices and sounds for the arrangement you have in mind.

Custom kits can be saved and managed as presets, which makes it easier to reuse a kit across projects.
